Application Process

Step 1

Get in Touch
Complete our online Application Form

Upload your documents
– Student passport/ID/Birth Certificate
– Past and recent school results
– Consent to release records
– Character reference

Step 2

Assessment and Review
Once assessment has been completed, we may invite you for an interview.

Step 3

Await our Response
Our admissions officer will inform you regarding eligibility of admission to Alma Mater.

Step 4

Interview
We Request an interview with the family and child, this informal chat will help us with your child’s placement and entry level.

Step 5

Offer
You will receive a letter of conditional offer for placement at Alma Mater.

Step 6

Acceptance
Once you have accepted your Acceptance/Conditional offer you will be required to submit a proof of payment for registration.

Step 7

Enrolment
You will be sent a form and contract to complete for enrolment of your child. Your registration will only be confirmed once enrolment is complete and registration is paid.

Registration
Please see communication to receive your registration steps and arrangements.

Why choose an international school for your child?

Alma Mater serves many applicants from other continents. We are close to main international airports;
OR Thambo – Johannesburg International and Lanseria International Airport.
Shuttle services are arranged for students to and from the airport.

All foreign students are required to have a study VISA.

Step 1

Receive your conditional offer. Book your appointment at the embassy for a Study VISA Application. Gather all your required documents, check institutional letters with our VISA officer. Full comprehensive Medical Aid is compulsory for all boarding students.

VISA Applications to be submitted before November

Step 3

Email your Study VISA to admissions@almamaterinternational.co.za

When received, the following must be submitted BEFORE the first week of school
